What is an Entrepreneur in Residence?

Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs) are experienced founders who provide practical guidance and real-world insight to help entrepreneurs move forward with confidence. They support founders as they work through challenges, explore opportunities, and make informed decisions.

This program expands access to trusted mentors who understand the realities of building a business and helps connect founders to the right resources at the right time. Learn more about our EIRs below.

EIR Impact

1,000+ Founder Touchpoints
Our Entrepreneurs in Residence provide thousands of meaningful mentorship interactions, known as founder touchpoints. These conversations support idea validation, growth strategy, and real-world problem-solving for local entrepreneurs.

Bootcamp Acceleration
EIRs serve as facilitators for our CO.STARTERS Bootcamps, significantly expanding the depth of expertise and mentorship available to participants. Their involvement brings practical experience and instruction that would not be possible without this program.

Community Leadership
EIRs actively facilitate monthly Founders Meetups, represent Startup Sioux Falls at local events, and serve as trusted ambassadors for the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Mutual Growth
The program creates value for both founders and EIRs by elevating shared expertise, strengthening relationships, and increasing visibility for the ventures and leaders involved.
